Members who are under 25 years old are automatically also members of the Free Workers Youth ("Freie Arbeiter:innen Jugend") FAJ(older people in apprenticeship may also be able to join the FAJ, please contact the FAJ after admission)
To ensure that the FAJ does not have too many “dead bodies”, it will regularly ask whether over 25-year-olds still want to/can still be members based on their year of birth
It is possible to check several sectors, when you work several jobs
The membership fee is divided into 4 categories. It is up to you which category you choose. Of course we are always happy if you pay more and you can change the category at any time (but please inform us).
Members can be exempted from the contribution upon request
Special case FAJ Basel:
In Basel there is no local syndicate of the FAU, but there is a syndicate of the Free Workers Youth FAJ.
If you would like to join FAJ Basel, please select FAU Bern and then write us in the comments that you would like to join the FAJ Basel
The FAU Switzerland is organized throughout Switzerland in various local syndicates (LS) and regional syndicates (RS). You can join one of these LS/RS that is closest to you. New LS/RS can join with enough active people.
